Promotions

Staff with Recommend staff for promotion propose a colleague for a higher role, with a justification. Staff ranked above the candidate with Vote on promotion recommendations vote, always with a written reason.

• Nobody votes on themselves, twice, or on their own recommendation, and candidates never see recommendations about themselves.
• Those who decide see how the candidate has been doing: 30 days of activity, active warnings and assignment results, as far as the viewer may see them.
• Approving gives the role through the normal role assignment, so every rank and permission rule still applies, and a promotion record is written.
• The list shows trending recommendations (most votes this week) and who recommends most.
