Ban, kick and warn players
What each action does and how it reaches your game.
Use the Moderation page, the Discord command /moderation, or the in-game staff panel. All three run the same service and the same permission checks.
- Ban and unban use Roblox Open Cloud user restrictions, which also remove the player from live servers. Bans can be timed (
30m,12h,7d,2w) or permanent. The ban can show the player a public reason that differs from the internal one. By default a ban extends to suspected alt accounts, which you can switch off per ban. - Kick removes a player from a live server. Roblox has no web API for this, so it is delivered to your game by the generated script. Needs the in-game script (see The in-game script).
- Warn and note record a warning or a private note in the player's history.
Every action needs a reason, shows who did it and how (website, Discord or in game), and is written to the history. If your API key lacks a permission, the action fails early with a precise message instead of silently.
Proof files
Bans and warnings accept up to ten files (images, videos, documents), each up to 10 MB and 50 MB in total. They are posted as attachments on the log message to every channel that receives moderation logs, then deleted from RoWarden. Only the number of files is kept in the history. With no moderation log channel, files are not stored.
